Over 50 people, of all ages, came to the picnic event in July in Waterfall Park, Great Ayton. They had great fun exploring the plants and trees growing in the park. Remember you have until the 25th August to comment on the work in the park and make further suggestions by completing the questionnaire available in The Discovery Centre and Thompson’s Hardware in Great Ayton or by downloading and returning by email.
A second picnic will be held in the park on Sunday 9th September, between 12 noon and 2:00 pm when you can help plant a variety of wildflowers such as primroses, daffodils, iris, marsh marigolds, red campion and wild strawberries. These have been chosen to provide more nectar for pollinators and to brighten up the park.
