Thanks for all the support

Since 2013, Moor Sustainable CIC has worked in North East Yorkshire to help improve the sustainability of the communities and environment of the North York Moors and surrounding areas. All the projects we undertook linked to our objectives of improving the natural and built environment; reducing the use of carbon and helping to develop stronger communities. Due to a change in focus of the Directors we decided to wind up the company at the end of March. We’d like to thank all those who have supported our work over the past nine years.

Moor Sustainable helped kick start the Climate Action Stokesley and Villages (CASaV) group in 2019. This group is a natural successor to take forward work on sustainability in part of our area. Therefore, CASaV have bought the apple pressing equipment and will be running an apple pressing event in the autumn and lending out the equipment through a virtual Share Shed that the CASaV Waste group are setting up. Also, our Bug Trail project in Great Ayton will now be managed by CASaV. Over the past nine years we have provided a wide range of information related to energy and will ensure that it will still be available through Whitby Esk Energy.

Any surplus once Moor Sustainable CIC is wound up will go to our asset lock, the North Yorkshire Moors Association.
