New mini-orchard in Great Ayton

As part of their 25th anniversary¬†Broadacres Housing Association, staff planted fruit trees and wildflowers at the entrance of Beech Close, Great Ayton. They were helped by members of the Brighten Up Great Ayton group and botanist Martin Allen. The planting was part of a new plan to improve the planting in Great Ayton to make it more attractive for people and pollinators. Funding from North Yorkshire County Council’s Stronger Communities programme helped put the plan together.
