Community apple pressing

Moor Sustainable Community Interest Company has been awarded a grant of £4,912 by the National Lottery Community Fund to run a community apple pressing project this autumn.  Thanks to National Lottery players we will be able to buy apple crushers and presses and run community apple pressing days in several villages in the northern part of the North York Moors including Great Ayton, Commondale and Lythe.   The apple juicing days will be enjoyable community events where people can bring buckets of apples from trees in their garden and go away with lovely fresh juice – a fun activity for all the family. For more details see our community apple pressing page.
